Body found on Arthur’s Seat believed to be missing man

The body of a man's been discovered on Arthur's Seat this morning (Tuesday).

Formal identification has yet to take place, but police say the family of Robert Corner have been informed.

The 50-year-old was reported missing from Edinburgh's Baronscourt area on Boxing Day - having last been seen around 6.30pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8am on Tuesday, the body of a man was discovered on Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh.

"Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Robert Corner, 50, who was reported missing from the Baronscourt area have been informed.

"Enquiries are ongoing but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."
