Armed police drafted in to reassure Little Mix fans at Edinburgh concert

Police Scotland will have armed officers in place at tonight's Little Mix concert to reassure fans.

The extra protection comes after last month's Manchester Arena bombing that killed 22 people.

Thousands of fans are expected at the Royal Highland Centre tonight to see the girl band.

Police Scotland has said the extra security is to "reassure not alarm" fans and urge anyone with any concerns to speak to officers at the venue.

Concert-goers are also warned that no bags over A4 size will be allowed inside the building.

Any bigger bags will be placed in a holding area during the concert.
