Officers in Fife are appealing for information following three wilful fires.

Around 3am on Tuesday, 4 November, 2025, a garden shed on Frances Row in Kirkcaldy was deliberately set on fire.

Later the same morning, around 5am, emergency services received a report of a car on fire on Edington Place in Dysart.

On Thursday, 6 November, around 4.40am, there was a fire on a boat in the Hot Pot Wynd area of Dysart.

Officers are considering whether these incidents may be linked and are appealing for information.

Kirkcaldy Community Policing Constable Ryan Taylor said: “Thankfully there were no reported injuries during these incidents, however this reckless crime has caused alarm for those involved as well as financial implications.

“This type of criminality will not be tolerated and it’s vital we trace those responsible.

“I’d appeal to anyone with information on the fires to come forward. I’d also please ask anyone with private CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to review this and bring anything you think may be of importance to our attention.”

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0754 of 4 of November, 2025. Alternatively, you can pass information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
