Appeal following serious crash in Falkirk

Police in Forth Valley are appealing for information following a serious road crash in Falkirk.

The incident happened on Glen Brae at its junction with Slamannan Road around 1.10pm on Saturday, 21 November and involved a silver Skoda Roomster and a blue Peugeot 308.

The 88-year-old male passenger of the Skoda was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert for treatment to serious injuries. No-one else was injured.

Glen Brae and Slammanan Road were closed for six hours for an investigation at the scene and re-opened around 7pm.

Sergeant Colin Morrison, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this crash and would urge anyone with information to come forward.

“We would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have seen the vehicles involved beforehand. Anyone who was on the road around the time of the incident and may have dashcam footage which could assist with our investigation is asked to contact police.
