Appeal after bull terrier type dog attack in Musselburgh

A man and his dog have been attacked by another dog in East Lothian.

Police are appealing for information after the Staffordshire bull terrier type caused back and neck injuries to the Shih Tzu andminor injuries to his owner during the incident in Goose Green Place Musselburgh on Saturday.

The dog is described as tan in colour and may go by the name Mylo.

Officers are now keen to hear from anyone with information that can help them to trace the Staffordshire bull terrier type dog and the two males that were seen with it.

Constable Calum Hutchison of Musselburgh Police Station said: "I am looking to identify the males seen with the Staffordshire bull terrier and to establish who the owner is. Anyone who saw the incident on Saturday or who has information that can help me to trace the males or the owner is asked to please contact me."
