Appeal after vans stolen from yard in Whitburn

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after three vans were stolen from a yard in Whitburn.

Three flatbed Ford Transit vans were taken from a compound at Blaeberry Cemetery after entry was gained to the site on Blaeberry Road around 10.25pm on Friday, 2 January, 2026.

Two of the vans have since been recovered nearby but one remains outstanding.

This vehicle is described as being a white Ford Transit 350 Leader ECO Tipper, registration BJ73 ORT.

It is believed the vehicle may have been driven on the B718 Harthill Road a short time after the theft near to the crossroads of Harthill Road and Blairmuckhill Road.

Detective Constable Lee Manderson said: “We would be keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have seen any of the stolen vehicles being driven in the area late on the evening of Friday, 2 January.

“One of the vehicles remains outstanding and we would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen it to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0698 of 3 January, 2026, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
