Detailed plans for a £25m revamp of West Princes Street Gardens are being revealed as the group behind the project aims to build support from the public.

The Ross Bandstand would be replaced by a grass-covered amphitheatre in what is described as a 'space for all to celebrate and enjoy in new ways'.

A public consultation is going live today (Mon 4 Nov) and be will on show at the Central Library from Saturday before touring around Edinburgh.

It is expected an official planning application for The Quaich Project will be submitted in February
