92-year-old pedestrian dies after being hit by a car in Edinburgh
She succumbed to her injuries in hospital
A pensioner has died in hospital after she was hit by a car in south Edinburgh.
The 92-year-old pedestrian was involved in a collision with a Mercedes GL car at around 8am on Tuesday October 16 in Southhouse Avenue.
She sustained a number of serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where she later passed away.
Police are investigating and asking anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
Constable Declan Fitzpatrick from the Edinburgh Road Policing Unit said: "Our sincerest sympathies are with the woman's family and friends at this time and our investigation to establish the full circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
"I would again appeal for members of the public with information, or motorists with relevant dash-cam footage to contact police immediately."
