12-year-old girl charged after being found with knife at Musselburgh school

A 12-year-old girl has been charged after being found with a knife at a Musselburgh school.

Officers were called to Pinkie St Peter's school just after 9am today.

A Police Scotland spokesperson says: "At no point was another pupil or a member of staff threatened or harmed. A report will be submitted to the Children's Reporter and officers continue to liaise with the school and local authority surrounding this."
