Strictly and EastEnders stars announced for Sewing Bee Christmas Special

They'll be putting their sewing skills to the test!

It's almost December, and as the countdown continues to Christmas, the BBC has announced the line-up for another Christmas Special. This time it's for The Great British Sewing Bee, the show which showcases amazing contestants' sewing talents.

Now, for the Christmas Special it's the turn of four celebrities to show us what they can do, and wow us with their creations. Announcing the news on Instagram the official account shared a photo of judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant, along with the show's host Sara Pascoe, and this year we will be seeing Strictly and EastEnders stars show us their skills!

The suitably festive photo was captioned: 'We'll be Frockin' Around the Christmas Tree with a festive special of Sewing Bee 🎄

'Host @Sara.Pascoe and judges @PatrickGrantism and @Miss_Esme_Young will be joined by celebrity sewers @JohannesRadebe, @NatCass1, @Penny.Lancaster and @RoseMarinoRamsey.

Later, a second photo was shared with the line-up of celebrities, Strictly Come Dancing's Johannes Radebe, EastEnders actor Natalie Cassidy, podcaster Rosie Ramsey and TV personality Penny Lancaster.

According the BBC website, in the show, they will be putting their twist on a Christmas apron pattern, as well as a novelty outfit for a baby using some hand-me-downs, and finally a pop star-inspired fancy dress outfit for New Year's Eve. We can't wait to see what they create!

When does the Sewing Bee Christmas Special air?

The Great British Sewing Bee Celebrity Christmas Special 2022 will be aired on BBC One on 22nd December at 8pm, and available to watch on iPlayer.

Meanwhile, Rosie Ramsey has also been announced as a contestant in this year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special, where she will be paired with Strictly pro Neil Jones.
