Love Island SPOILERS: Maura sets her sights on newly-single Curtis😳
Say what now?
Author: Georgie HollandPublished 5th Jul 2019
This week has undeniably been one of the most dramatic so far on this year's Love Island. To narrow it down, we've seen Lucie confess her true feeling to Tommy TWICE, Curtis 'break' Amy's heart and Anna ditch Jordan. Not to mention the cherry on top of the cake - Michael has pied off Amber for new girl Joanna.
Tonight (5th July), it looks like the drama is set to thicken, when Amber and Jordan each take an Islander of their choice on a date. Is this Jordan's chance to rekindle things with Anna?
And, of course, tensions are still high in the villa between Curtis and Amy - but it's looking like the calm before the storm as Maura starts to move in on the 23-year-old dancer.
Find out what happens on Friday night's Love Island below:
MICHAEL TRIES TO MAKE AMENDS WITH AMBER
Things have definitely been frosty between Michael and Amber since he returned from Casa Amor coupled up with new-girl Joanna. Now that the dust is beginning to settle, Michael is keen to clean the air with his former flame. Speaking to Michael, Amber says, "I don't think you had any idea how much I liked you." She then finally receives the apology she's been wanting, as Michael says, "For me, it was hard to see. I felt like I was constantly chasing you. I could not read you. I was constantly questioning it. I didn't ever want to hurt you. I'm deeply sorry. I do want you to know that I'm still here for you." Hmmph.

CURTIS DOESN'T FEEL A ROMANTIC CONNECTION
It looks like it's the end of the road for Curtis and Amy, as he tells her, "I don't feel the romantic connection so I don't feel like it'll work in the long run." Will the pair be able to build a friendship? And will either of them find a new romantic connection with someone else in the villa?

ARE THERE STILL FEELINGS BETWEEN THE PAIR?
After Amber admits, ". I just thought everything would be ok. I do feel like it's partly my fault. It's upsetting because I know I don't open up to people and I don't show people how much I like them", things begin to take a lighter turn. Michael jokes, "I know that you have a heart of gold. You've just got a strange way of showing it sometimes," before Amber laughs, "Watching you with lovely Joanna who is not catty and lets you talk about your issues but she doesn't make you laugh as much as me though!" The pair share a giggle as Amber accepts Michael's apology. Does this mean there is a glimmer of hope for these two?
SINGLE JORDAN AND AMBER EACH TAKE AN ISLANDER ON A DATE
After the Casa Amor drama, both Jordan and Amber were left single. But is their luck about to change? While relaxing in the garden, Jordan receives a text which says he can choose someone to take on a date. Unsurprisingly, Jordan asks Anna if she would like to go on a date with him. Shortly after, Amber receives the same text, taking to the Beach Hut to admit, "I would actually like to take Michael on a date but there is a point where you to have say 'don't mug yourself off' and I'm not going to do that. The only person in the villa that I like is Michael." She then decides to take Ovie for a friend-date. Pretty awks for Jordan...
AMBER REVEALS WHY SHE REALLY CHOSE OVIE
Amber reveals to Ovie that she asked him on the date because he has supported her since they arrived back at the Villa from Casa Amor, saying, "I know that you've got my back." Ovie is aware that Anna still has feelings for Jordan. But when Amber asks Ovie "Is there anyone in the villa that you have your eye on?", he responds, "If I had to pick, it would be Joanna." Amber seems pleased at the idea of Ovie pursuing a romantic connection with Joanna, leaving Michael single and available.
ANNA IS IMPRESSED WITH JORDAN
Over at Anna and Jordan's table, Jordan wastes no time in wooing Anna, saying, "I feel like since you've come back from Casa Amor, I've been happier. It's nice to have you back." Anna then tells Jordan, "I feel like the way you've handled everything has been so good and attractive." Jordan continues to lay it on factor-fifty thick, saying, "I just wanted to prove that you can trust me and that I do like you. Maybe I didn't say it enough before you went to Casa Amor."
MAURA SETS HER SIGHTS ON NEWLY-SINGLE CURTIS
Despite just coupling up with new boy Marvin, it looks like Maura may have eyes for Curtis. After recently cooling things off with Amy, Curtis has just become single. While the two chat about the latest couple drama in the kitchen, a white feather lands on the kitchen surface. Maura then says to Curtis, "They say that a white feather is an angel close-by trying to tell you something. Have you not heard about that?" To which Curtis responds, "I wonder what it means."
MAURA TELLS LUCIE HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT CURTIS
That evening, Maura speaks with Lucie on the bean bags and tells her how she feels about newly-single Curtis, saying, "He's obviously gorgeous. He's very manly and I love that. He's funny. He's the whole package for me." Understandably, Lucie is pretty shocked by Maura's revelation, exclaiming, "Wow!" Maura then continues, "There have been so many times where I want him to teach me how to dance," before taking to the Beach Hut to say, "I had a chat with him today in the kitchen. If he wants a shoulder to cry on, I'll be here!"
AMY WANTS TO KNOW HOW CURTIS FEELS
After spending the day pondering over her split from Curtis, Amy wants feedback from him on what went wrong, asking him, "Are you upset that we're no longer together?" Although it's maybe not music to Amy's ears, Curtis responds, "It's probably going to be horrible to hear but I do feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders." Amy then bites back, responding, "That's interesting because last night I was going to end the conversation with giving you a second chance. I was going to work hard on our relationship. I thought that is what you wanted. But that's not what you want."
