James Arthur has won his first ever major acting role! The 30-year-old, who won the 2012 series of The X Factor, is reportedly set to star in Brazilian soap opera O Tempo não Para, which roughly translates to 'Time Does Not Stop'.
According to Metro.co.uk, James has apparently flown out to Brazil to film a cameo for the show, which reportedly draws in 40 million viewers. The publication report that his acting performance in his recent music video for 'Naked', featuring Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas, impressed show bosses.
A source has apparently revealed that show producers were "so bowled over" by the reaction to James’ song that they were "desperate to get him on screen," adding that he flew to Sao Paulo two weeks ago to shoot the cameo, which will apparently see him perform his track 'Naked' in a club where the main characters will visit.
Representatives for James also confirmed to the publication that "for now," it's a one-off appearance on the show, which first aired this July.
