Yay!

Hollyoaks fans will be happy to hear that bosses have extended their Christmas and New Years episodes.

As Hollyoaks continues to get more explosive, bosses have announced that there will be an hour-long episode on Christmas and New Years.

There's a lot of drama on the run up to Christmas in soap land and just like previous years, Hollyoaks bosses are giving themselves extra time to make sure viewers are entertained.

Even though they're keeping their festive storylines under wraps, Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood has teased that drama will follow the Cunningham family, Damon and Brody and Courtney Campbell.

He explained to Digital Spy, "We've got a wonderful Christmas episode coming up.

"This year, it's all about Christmas at the Cunningham's with Milo. We have a celebration in The Dog with our wonderful new lads Damon and Brody, who are left in charge of the pub and throw a riotous Christmas party."

He went on to say, "It also wouldn't be Christmas in soap without the arrival of a baby! Courtney gives birth to her much-longed-for daughter. It's a real punch-the-air moment to see that brilliant battler get what she's always wanted."

Eek!

Not only that but viewers will also get to see the return of DC Armstrong – aka Cindy Cunningham's old stalker.

What will he get up to in the village?

After watching Hollyoaks' Autumn trailer we know that over the next few weeks a lot of explosive storylines are going to be played out. We've seen Grace Black and Sienna Blake planning to kill Warren Fox, the Maalik family have just moved into the village and Lily Drinkwell, Peri Lomax and Yasmine Maalik's self-harming storyline is going to spin out of control.

Bryan has hinted that things aren't going to get any easier for the teen trio. He explained, "They get worse before they get better, as is the way in soap.

"I watched some upcoming episodes the other day where I was bawling in the edit because the performances were so powerful."

Hollyoaks continues weeknights on Channel 4 at 6.30pm.
