He'll be giving £150,000 away to one lucky contestant
Last updated 31st Mar 2022
Gordon Ramsay is returning to our screens with his latest show Future Food Stars which starts tonight (31st March) and will see entrepreneurs fight for prize money to fund their food and drink businesses.
Over the course of the show, 12 contestants - each looking for an investment in their up and coming business - will compete to impress Gordon Ramsay. A prize of £150,000 of the famous chef's own money is up for grabs, but he won't make it easy for them to get their hands on it.
Gordon took to Twitter to share the exciting news and share a promotional video of the first episode which sees him jumping out of a helicopter into the sea. He certainly makes quite the entrance into the show as the shocked contestants watch him make the leap before coming onto the beach to greet them.
He captioned the video: 'I'm ready to take a leap tonight on @BBC at 9 PM and invest £150,000 in one of these food & drink entrepreneurs for #FutureFoodStars....are you ready ??? See you tonight Gx #FFS'. (sic)
The show has been described as a mix between The Apprentice and SAS: Who Dares Wins and will put the contenders through a series of challenges. The first episode will take place in Cornwall where they will be challenged to run food shacks on the beach using local produce. Gordon will keep a close eye as they serve hungry locals and tourists, and only those who impress him will make it into next week's show.
