EastEnders spoilers Monday 5 November - Friday 9 November 2018: Walford welcomes some new faces, and says goodbye to some old ones too... This week on the Square, Hayley Slater makes a decision about her baby and the custody battle between Cora and Max for baby Abi intensifies. But first, let's recap on all the happenings from last week.
With her baby due, Hayley feared the truth that Alfie Moon is the father would soon be exposed and made plans to leave Walford. Desperate, Hayley called a mother and baby hostel but when she learned she needs to have had the baby before she can go, she enlists Mariam Ahmed’s help but to no avail.
After giving birth to a healthy and happy baby, Hayley snuck out of the hospital, leaving the rest of the Slater family to fear for her safety.
After the tragic death of her son, Carmel Kazemi makes a big decision – she is going to leave Walford for Dubai. When Keegan Baker finds a poster of his son defaced he is furious, and even more upset when Carmel doesn't want to take action.
But Carmel can tell something is up with Keegan, and when she finds that the troubled teen has gone out to seek his own revenge, she decides to 'teach him a lesson'.

Arriving back on the square after delivering her baby alone, Hayley is unable to pay for the cab. Carmel, fresh from her emotional encounter with Keegan, is there to pick up the tab.

Ritchie Scott arrives to give an update on Mick but as she suggests Mick pleads guilty to lower his sentence, Linda tells Ritchie her services are no longer needed leaving Tina stunned. Suspecting something is going on with Linda, Tina enlists Halfway and Whitney's help.
Arriving back on the square after delivering her baby alone, Hayley is unable to pay for the cab. Carmel, fresh from her emotional encounter with Keegan, is there to pick up the tab.
But she's still not sure she can care for the baby. With her family still out looking for her, Hayley collects the necessary items from the house and leaves the baby on the Ahmed's doorstep, with a note asking them to look after her.
But not all is well with the newborn and, noticing something wrong, the Ahmed's rush to the hospital, where they implore Hayley to come for her baby.
With Hayley finally bonding with her baby, the social worker shows up at the hospital. Miriam fights her corner, and convinces the social worker the baby belongs with it's mother.
Hayley resolves to do the right thing, and when Bev Slater arrives at the hospital to take the baby home with her, the new mum follows suit.
Back at home, Bev does her best to play the caring mother and suggests to Hayley that her new baby is a chance to fix the past.
Elsewhere on the square, Rainie Cross tells Max Branning that a date for the custody hearing has finally been set. But tensions rise when they spot Cora heading into Ian Beale's house.
Sensing a threat, the 'couple' barge in after Cora and demand to know what's going on.
Things look like they're heading downhill for Max and Rainie when Max learns that his solicitor working on the case has been fired. Will Cora gain custody after all?
But Cora is having her own troubles, struggling to cope with baby Abi. After an incident on the street, Cora confides in Martin Fowler, who promises not to tell Max.
Meanwhile, Mel Owen is excited to pick out the biggest diamond she can find for her new engagement ring...
... especially when she learns that Ray Kelly has been telling porkies about having the money to afford it.
Carmel says an emotional goodbye to Kush as she prepares to leave Walford for Dubai, having decided to make a fresh start following the murder of her youngest son.
Still refusing to visit Mick Carter, Linda Cater is taken aback when Stuart Highway arrives at The Vic and with Halfway and Tina Carter out, the pair talk. Later on, Stuart sends Linda a message of thanks.
Back at The Vic, Tina, Halfway and Whitney Dean are shocked by Linda's actions and things grow worse.
