EastEnders: Mystery newcomer is actually Tony King's secret son Leo
Tony was on the show years ago

EastEnders is notorious for swapping it's cast members around more times than we scroll through Instagram on a Sunday evening and sometimes, it's hard to keep up.
Some of the residents have been pottering around Walford for 34 YEARS (Ian Beale, we're looking at you), some are in and out quicker than we can say 'Minute Mart' and some boomerang back into the BBC1 soap whenever there is #dramz, like the disgruntled Phil Mitchell.
But here's everything you need to know about the latest arrival...
Leo King (played by Tom Wells)
The mystery man who has been hanging around the Square and the Butcher family has finally been revealed - Tony King's son Leo. It's safe to say he's been causing a lot of drama in Bianca Butcher's life; she attacked him, she's been in prison and he's been speaking to Tiffany.
Even though he seems totally charming it turns out he's actually in Walford to clear his dad's name - he thinks Tony is innocent and unaware that he groomed Whitney Dean. He also wants the money his grandparents gave Bianca following Whit's horrific ordeal - will he leave Albert Square after Bianca threatens him to leave or will he stay around?
Speaking about the newbie on the show Jon Sec, Executive Producer, said: "Bianca's return sparks a gripping new story with the arrival of Leo King – a dark and misguided figure who has grown up with the stigma of being the son of a convicted paedophile.
"We are thrilled to welcome Tom to the Square, knowing he will bring depth and complexity to the role of Leo, a man who believes his father has been wronged and who will also go to great lengths to prove it."

Sam Mitchell (played by Kim Medcalf)
In January 2022, BBC announced that Kim would be back playing Peggy Mitchell's daughter, and promised the return would be "explosive". On reprising the role she played from 2002–2005, Kim said, "She's a brilliant character and I can't wait to get back in The Square this spring."
Here's hoping her return is a bit more interesting than that quote.
EastEnders airs on Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One.
