Dancing On Ice pro suffers horrifying injury after 'freak accident'
She's been forced to temporarily drop out of the show
With just days to go until the 2021 series of Dancing On Ice hits our TV screens, with hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, rehearsals are being ramped up as six of this year's celebrities prepare to perform.
However, the show has been forced to make a few changes to this weekend's schedule after a freak accident between former Olympic skier Graham Bell and his professional partner Yebin Mok.
Whilst rehearsing this week, Yebin was 'stabbed' by the blade on her skate, giving her an injury so severe that it 'exposed her tendons'.
Dancing On Ice hosts Holly and Phillip were the first to break the news during Wednesday's episode of This Morning.
Holly said, "This week Olympic skier Graham Bell and his partner Yebin had a freak accident, which resulted in her having a laceration on her leg."
Admitting he saw a picture of Yebin's awful injury, Phillip added, "We had a Zoom meeting yesterday with the team and they showed us a picture that we can not show you on TV. Holly couldn't even look at it, she had to look away - and it was a very nasty stab wound from an ice blade.
"You could see the tendons, it's a very dangerous show."
In order to allow Yebin a full recovery, bosses have revealed Rufus Hound and his professional partner Robin Johnstone will now perform on Sunday night's launch show, with Graham being temporarily paired Karina Manta until Yebin is fit enough to return.
Sharing a statement online, Dancing On Ice bosses said, 'After an accident in training on Monday, @yebinmok unfortunately needs to take time off the ice to recuperate and heal.
'We’re wishing her a speedy recovery and hope to see her back in action soon ❤️ #DancingOnIce' (sic)

Meanwhile, despite reports that a number of cast members have contracted Covid-19 in the coming days, ITV have confirmed the 13th series will still begin on Sunday 17th January.
