Yasmeen wakes up in hospital

Meanwhile, Geoff Metcalfe convinces his son Tim Metcalfe that everything Elaine Grimshaw's saying is lies, and Ed Bailey has to make a plan B for his 30th wedding anniversary with Aggie.

CHECK OUT what's happening in Coronation Street Monday 27 - Friday 31 July:

A disoriented Yasmeen wakes up in the hospital and Alya tells her that she's suffered a heart attack and that her trial has been postponed.

Yasmeen's friend Elaine is sad to hear that Yasmeen is unwell, and even more bothered that Tim is still choosing to believe his dad's side of the story.

Later on, Elaine rings Alya and says that after much thought she's decided that she is willing to testify for Yasmeen in court.

As Elaine promises that she'll do everything she can to help her friend, a relieved Alya is overwhelmed with gratitude.

But not all is well, and soon Elaine is backtracking on her promise as she prepares to leave Weatherfield. Alya sets up a secret meeting between them.

At Speed Dahl after hours, Alya begs Elaine not to leave as her evidence against Geoff may be their only hope of saving Yasmeen.

Meanwhile, Geoff tells Tim that everything Elaine is saying about him is lies and Tim promises that if he sees her again, he'll report her to the police.

At the Bailey residence, Aggie is having to get the bus to work at the hospital to fight coronavirus from the front line as their car won't start.

Abi tells Ed that Aggie is welcome to use Kevin's car while she works on theirs as the town is so grateful for her bravery in facing the virus every day.

Aggie and Ed's 30th anniversary is fast approaching but Ed is crestfallen when Aggie tells him her colleague is showing signs of the virus and that she has to self isolate away from home.

Michael manages to convince his dad that a surprise zoom party might not be the best idea with all the pressure Aggie is under. Instead, Ed and Aggie don their finery and settle down to a virtual dinner date to celebrate.

Elsewhere, Gary is horrified when Brian grumpily mentions that Bernie has found a watch in the woods and sold it on to Sarah without sharing the money.

Gary tracks down Bernie at the pub and makes out that he wants to buy the watch to give to his dad, bunging her a wad off cash to buy it back from Sarah.

Bernie does all she can to get the watch back, offering Sarah double what she payed for it. But Sarah refuses when she finds out it's Gary who wants it.

Her suspicions around, Sarah confronts Gary in the street and demands to know if he's killed Rick. Before he can answer, Sarah flings open the van doors and finds a shovel, latex gloves and a bag.

A desperate Gary tells Sarah that he only did what he did to protect her and the kids, insisting that he's never stopped loving her.

Alarmed, Sarah dials 999 as she sprints off, leaving Gary to give chase, and runs across the road into the path of a moving car.

In a flash, Gary manages to push Sarah out of the way of the car but isn't so lucky himself and is hit, leaving him out cold on the cobbles.

From across the street, having witnessed the whole thing, Tyrone rings an ambulance and soon Adam and Maria have both arrived at the hospital.

As Sarah tries to explain how she was on the phone and stepped out in front of the car without looking, causing Gary to save her, Adam senses she's lying.

When Tyrone says that it looked as though Gary was actually chasing Sarah, Sarah dismisses it as nothing more than coincidence.
