Coronation Street fans were left baffled by yesterday’s (Monday 20th January) episode when Bethany Platt seemingly failed to notice the fire raging at Chesney Brown and Gemma Winter’s house.
Scenes where Bethany headed to the garage to speak to Abi Franklin about Ray Crosby show a fire blazing inside No. 5, but Bethany is none the wiser – despite being just feet away from the inferno.

Chesney and Gemma’s home was attacked by an unidentified vandal who wrote 'paedo' on the window in red paint and posted a burning rag through their letterbox as Gemma slept upstairs with the quads.
