Corrie fans left in hysterics after Liz McDonald's phone gaffe
She appeared to receive a call...
Liz McDonald is back on the Street! After a few months away (so that actress Beverley Callard could perform in stage show The Thunder Girls) Liz is back on the cobbles, and fans are so happy to see her back after all the heartbreak of last week's episodes.
Sinead Tinker tragically passed away following her terminal cancer diagnosis, leading to some absolutely heartbreaking scenes between her and her husband, Daniel Osbourne, as actress Katie McGlynn made her final appearance on the soap - although soap bosses have revealed she'll be back in videos she recorded prior to her death for her family.
In a bit of comic relief for the soap, Liz has returned - but eagle-eyed fans of the show noticed that show bosses dropped something of a clanger in last night's episode (28th Oct) in a moment when Liz answered a phone call.
Whilst waiting to order some scran at Roy's Rolls, Liz's phone began to ring. It seemed to be a pretty important one, as she scrambled to pick it up before it rang out, and she answered the phone saying, "Buenos diaz, son!"
However, viewers noticed that although Liz had been desperate to answer the call, the screen had remained black the entire time... Making it look as though it had never been on in the first place!
Viewers were left in hysterics over the gaffe, and many took to Twitter to share the moment. One wrote, 'Phone ringing was it?' as another added, 'Phone not lighting up Liz!'
