When a TV show is cancelled there are bound to be some unhappy fans, but with the news that Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been cancelled, it seems that a number of celebrities are very unhappy by the news. Brooklyn Nine-Nine started in 2013 and has had a run of five seasons, but the TV network behind it, Fox, have confirmed that it has now been cancelled.
The co-creator of the TV series, Dan Goor, took to Twitter to acknowledge the support that the show had received since the news was made public saying, 'Wow. Thank you all for this incredible outpouring of support. #brooklyn99 fans are the best fans in the world. It means the world to me and everyone else who works on the show.'
In response to Dan's tweet fans came forward to say, 'You did an amazing job man!' with another saying, 'Please know we are not giving up. We love this show so much. We are fighting and we are doing everything we can.'
Another fan just responded with loads of heart emojis.
With the sad news about Brooklyn Nine-Nine celebrities also came forward to express their sadness with the Backstreet Boys tweeting, 'Thanks for the memories, #Brooklyn99 😢 '.
American composer and Mary Poppins Returns actor, Lin-Manuel Miranda, also tweeted, 'RENEW BROOKLYN NINE NINE I ONLY WATCH LIKE 4 THINGS THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS #RenewB99' sic
Meanwhile others suggested they approach other companies such as Netflix or Hulu.

Since the news broke the hashtag #RenewB99 has started to gain in popularity and it seems that there may be a glimmer of hope for the series.
Deadline is reporting that due to the outpouring of support for the series it could be picked up by Hulu. According to Deadline a Hulu deal with Brooklyn Nine-Nine could be similar to that with The Mindy Project, which moved form Fox to Hulu after three seasons.
