For more than two decades the Coca-Cola advert with its iconic truck has signified the beginning of the festive season, as viewers hear the jingle 'Holidays Are Coming'.

And in the past 10 years, coupled with the fun of the Coca-Cola truck which would make its trip across the UK in November and December each year, families up and down the country knew it wouldn't be long until Santa could be spotted delivering presents. 🎅

However, unfortunately this year, if 2020 couldn't get even worse, the fizzy drink brand have now confirmed that the annual Coca-Cola truck tour has been cancelled!

Taking to Twitter, Coca-Cola explained, 'Due to current restrictions around the country, our Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour won’t go ahead this year. We know it's disappointing, but we’ll continue to share special Christmas moments throughout the festive season. We look forward to seeing you next year!'

In a statement, the company gave further information saying, "In light of further Covid-19 restrictions announced around the country and in line with Government guidelines, unfortunately, we can’t go ahead with our annual Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour this year."

The spokeswoman went on to explain, "We know this will be disappointing for many people, but our priority is the safety of our consumers and employees. We really look forward to welcoming people back next year when the Truck Tour returns."

Normally the Cola-Cola truck would attract huge crowds at each of its locations in the weeks before the big day.

Over the past 24 years the 'Holidays Are Coming' advert has become iconic in the run up to Christmas, and the truck has travelled a massive 730,000 miles, that's 29 times around the world!
