We're celebrating Pride Weekend! Weβve really missed being able to party on the streets this Summer at Pride events all across Scotland, so we wanted to create a massive weekend of amazing Pride Hits and Throwbacks to get you in the mood for a pride party!

'Just Dance' was Lady Gaga's debut hit, released back in 2008, it featured on her first album 'The Fame', and was co-written by Gaga along with Akon and RedOne.
Britney Spears β 'Toxic'
What a tune! 'Toxic' was a song on Britney's fourth album, however it was originally offered to Kylie Minogue!
Calvin Harris and Sam Smith - 'Promises'
Full of glitz and glamour, the music video for Calvin Harris and Sam Smith's 2018 song 'Promises' showed a warehouse-turned-nightclub, with Sam accompanied by loads of very glamorous backing dancers.
Taylor Swift - 'You Need to Calm Down'
Featuring on Taylor's seventh album, 'You Need to Calm Down' features lyrics where she addresses internet trolls and homophobes.
Ultra NatΓ© - 'Free'
Generally regarded as one of the biggest dance tunes of the 90s, Ultra NatΓ©'s 'Free' was released in 1997, and became 'song about empowerment' for the gay community making it a massive anthem.
Mika - 'Grace Kelly'
Mika's Grace Kelly was a massive hit back in 2007 when the song hit the top spot in the UK and spent five weeks there.
Madonna - 'Music'
Queen of Pop Madonna has enjoyed four decades in the music industry, with many hits under her belt, but one of her classics is 'Music', released in 2000 and featuring on the album of the same name.
Years & Years - 'Shine'
Years & Years' song 'Shine' was a Number 2 hit from their debut album 'Communion' released in 2015.
The band consists of Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy and Emre TΓΌrkmen.
George Michael - 'Fastlove'
A 1996 hit for George Michael, 'Fastlove' topped the chart in six countries including the UK.
Ava Max - 'Kings & Queens'
'Kings & Queens' was a Top 20 hit in the UK for Ava Max. The song was co-written by Ava, along with a team of songwriters, who brought this song to life through 10 different iterations according to Popdust.com
How do you listen to the Forth 1 Pride Weekend?
You can listen to the Pride Weekend in the way you would normally listen to Forth 1, whether it's on FM, DAB, online or through your smart speaker. However if you love this music then we are launching a brand new radio station on Friday 28th August called Hits Radio Pride.
The Loud and Proud radio station will feature all of your favourite artists and some well-known presenters including Fleur East, Jordan Lee, James Barr, Stephanie Hirst and Charlie Powell.
The station will be available initially on DAB in Bradford, Stoke, Swansea, Liverpool and Northern Ireland, as well as on DAB+ in London. It will also be available online, on smart speakers and through the Hits Radio app nationally.
