Part of a Wizard of Oz 75th anniversary tribute

Pink wowed The Oscars in Los Angeles last night with a breath-taking rendition of the Judy Garland classic ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’.

Ditching the theatrics of her spectacular Grammys performance back in January, Pink looked resplendent in a sparkling red dress belted out the song as part of the Academy Awards’ 75th anniversary tribute to The Wizard of Oz.

The performance got a standing ovation from the star-studded crowd, including from Judy Garland’s daughter Liza Minnelli.

Other performances on the biggest night of the movie calendar came from U2, Karen O, Idina Menzel and Pharrell Williams who danced with Meryl Streep and Best Supporting Actress winner Lupita Nyong'o.

Gravity dominated The Oscars winning seven prestigious titles, however Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave took the biggest award – Best Motion Picture.
