Louis Tomlinson reveals what he misses the most about One Direction
Louis performed at Hits Live Birmingham
Last updated 8th May 2019
The amazingly talented and all-round nice guy Louis Tomlinson joined us backstage at Hits Live Birmingham on Saturday 4th May, ahead of his performance along with Ellie Goulding, The Vamps, James Arthur, Lewis Capaldi, Zara Larsson, Mabel, Tom Walker and HRVY.
Of course, Louis is a major solo artist now, with hits such as 'Just Hold On', 'Miss You', and his new single 'Two Of Us', but the 27-year-old will always have a place in One Direction, alongside Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Harry Styles.
As fans of the boy band hold out for reunion news every day, Louis revealed to presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford what he misses the most about being in 1D.
Check out One Direction through the years:
One Direction auditioning on The X Factor
One Direction formed on The X Factor in 2010. All five members auditioned as individual contestants and were put together as a group by Simon Cowell.
When asked the question, Louis said, "Probably touring that’s why I’m excited to perform today and excited to get out and spent time touring the world as that’s probably the best thing about being an artist."
Louis also revealed that if he could be another celebrity for one day, he'd chose his friend and 1D band mate Niall Horan.
He added, "I’ll go close to home Niall Horan, he doesn’t worry about anything in the world, Irish accent I’m not too bad I spend a lot of time with Niall."

After dropping his amazing music video for his hit single 'Two Of Us' last month, featuring 83-year-old Richard Green, Louis confessed his love for Richard, admitting he's 'amazing'.
Speaking about Richard, Louis said, "He is honestly one of the most amazing men I’ve ever met, I was so in awe of him, 84, and to have that outlook on life he was an amazing guy, really funny as well."
Louis added, "His outlook in general was what I took from that whole experience. He recently had lost his wife, but his outlook was so positive, and a lot of people are entitled to dwell, and be sad about those kind of things. But he was the exact opposite. He was so upbeat, so fun and literally up for anything."
He also opened up about his recent slightly cryptic Instagram post where he said he was considering changing his attitude towards making music.
But he put our minds at ease and said that that doesn't mean he'll be scrapping his album, "I hope not! I’ll take another three years otherwise. No, there’s still the majority of the album. I think it was more speaking about trying to find that specific single sound that is an obvious one that’s gonna work on radio. But the album tracks were always real and true anyway."
He even has the album name decided - but of course, he didn't want to spill the beans! "We’ve been speaking about this recently. I’m not gonna say what it is, obviously. But I think we've got that locked down. With those kind of things, you know what I mean, I think you can spend forever trying to find the perfect name."

Louis also revealed the most romantic thing he's ever done, "I am romantic. When I first met my girlfriend... I am a horrific cook, a very, very bad cook. I give it a go, you know what I mean, I’ll try.
"So, I said to her, 'I’ll make you a nice meal'. Honestly, she did all the polite things and said it was lovely. I, obviously tasted it too, it was awful. It was awful, really poor."
