Australia to compete in Eurovision 2016
Apparently we just can't get enough of the land down under.
This year history was made when Australia was invited to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Apparently their involvement with the competition was so successful with both the public and press that they have been invited back for a second year.
However, this year they won't get automatic qualification for the 'final' competition and will have to compete in the semi-finals alongside many other countries.
The good news was tweeted recently by the official accounts for Eurovision 2016 and the official broadcaster of the event in Australia, SBS.
Australia was invited to take part in this year's competition for celebrate 60 years of Eurovision. Guy Sebastian represented the honorary European country with a song written especially for the competition, 'Tonight Again' which reached the fifth spot in the competition.
Eurovision 2016 will be held on the 10, 12 and 14 May, 2016, in Stockholm's Globe Arena.
