The 2015 BRIT Awards Statue Revealed!

Tracey Emin follows in the footsteps of Dame Vivienne Westwood, Peter Blake, Damien Hirst & Philip Tracey

The Tracey Emin designed 2015 BRIT Awards statue has been unveiled this morning.

The strikingly good-looking design comes complete is peachy-pink coloured and comes complete with floral material and the handwritten words: Congratulations on your talent on your life, on everything you give to others thank you.

Speaking about the statue, Tracey said: “You want to do it really well. You don’t just want to decorate it, you want to make something that is really Tracey-ish, that is special for the people receiving it.”

BRITs Chairman Max Lousada added: “Tracey’s design is characteristically bold, brilliant, colourful and inventive - everything the BRITs stands for.

“We’re honoured to work with her and delighted to be able to celebrate the achievements of the BRIT Awards winners with such a unique and special trophy."

Tracey is the fifth British artist to design the blank canvas trophy following in the footsteps of Dame Vivienne Westwood, Peter Blake, Damien Hirst and Philip Tracey.

Back in October it was revealed that Ant and Dec will host The BRIT Awards 2015, 14 years after they last helmed the ceremony.

The BRITs takes place at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday 25th February and will be screened live on ITV.
