Will Ferrell threw a basketball at a cheerleader and got manhandled off court for his troubles in New Orleans on Wednesday night (21st January).
As the pictures below show, it happened during the halftime break on an NBA basketball game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Smoothie King Center.
However, before you start to fear for the cheerleader’s safety or wonder whether the funnyman spent the night in the slammer, the whole hilarious incident was just a scene for the upcoming movie Daddy’s Home.
The cheerleader, who took the full wrath of Will’s basketball, was a stuntwoman while the four yellow jacket security guards were played by actors.
In fact, the only authentic people involved was the 17,000 capacity crowd who cheered on from the sidelines.
Also starring Mark Wahlberg and Linda Cannelli, Daddy’s Home is about a divorced man (Ferrell) who wreaks havoc when his ex-wife marries an uptight man. It's due to hit cinemas later this year.
