Jessica Simpson has been accused of being drunk during an appearance on a US shopping channel last night.
The 35-year-old singer was a guest on the Home Shopping Network where she attempted to flog jeans from her own fashion label the Jessica Simpson Collection.
However, she appeared to slur and stumble over her words, giggled at some points and seemed to continuously sway on the spot.
Speaking about her sister Ashlee at one point, Jessica said: “Ashlee is THE BEST at wearing grey. She is very rock n roll but there is something about grey which is very sexy - maybe it’s because she and her husband share jeans. I don’t know.”
Unsurprisingly, Twitter users were quick off the mark to suggest that Jessica was inebriated on live television.
A user called Jessica M wrote: “Jessica Simpson is beyond awkward on live tv.. She sounds drunk and clueless about her own brand.”
While a shocked Biega wrote: “Jessica Simpson is drunk on HSN right now! Is anyone else seeing this?”
Another user said: “Ummmm pretty sure Jessica Simpson is wasted on her debut on HSN.”
Jessica Simpson and HSN have not commented on her appearance.
