WATCH: Heartwarming moment baby grins after seeing mum for the first time
Baby Leo suffers from a rare disorder.
A baby suffering from a rare disorder has finally been able to look at his parents for the first time.
Leopold Wilbur Reppond suffers from oculocutaneous albinism, which affects the colouring of the skin, hair, eyes and often causes problems with vision.
Leo’s parents, David and Erin, helped get the four-month-old some special infant glasses, which have normal lenses but are made out of rubber, so there’s no sharp edges or screws.
David said that catching the special moment on film was ‘very heartwarming’.
He told the Daily Mail: "I had some issues holding the camera because I was crying so much. I was overwhelmed with emotion. It’s just very touching. You cannot anticipate how you’re going to feel when something like that happens. It was very heartwarming.
He added that the glasses have made a huge difference to Leo’s life, saying that his son is smiling more and is interacting with people more.
The proud father went on to say how his son is starting to reach for toys and loves to be outdoors, now that he can see the sky and the grass.
