Twitter is swapping stars for hearts
What does a heart mean to you?
Twitter is changing its 'favourites' and 'stars' to 'likes' and 'hearts'.
So, rather than favouriting a tweet with a star you will now like it with a heart, similar to the hearts on the popular live streaming app Periscope.
In a short video explaining their thoughts behind it Twitter says the idea of changing from a favourite to a like is that not everything can be your favourite, but you can like a lot of things.
This new way of expressing yourself on the social network will become available immediately across all major platforms and devices with more being added soon.
Last month Facebook announced they would be moving away from 'Likes' replacing them with reactions, this is currently being trialled in a couple of countries.
