Taron Egerton joined Boogie and Arlene on Forth 1 to talk about his role in the brand new Robin Hood film. The actor explained how it was surreal playing such an iconic figure, but he wanted to bring Robin Hood to a new audience.

Taron explained how this film is a new take on the story, revealing that the Kevin Costner was 'his' Robin Hood and will always have a special place in his heart, however he thought is was a "bit dated", saying the new film is about bringing it into the 21st century.

Taron also revealed that the film is a lot faster-paced, with a lot more action. He also told Boogie and Arlene about the love triangle in Robin Hood, and what happened when the producers told him who else was in the triangle.

During the interview, Taron, who also starred in Kingsman: The Secret Service and its sequel alongside Elton John, revealed there would be a third Kingsman film. However, when pressed he wouldn't reveal an exact date. Despite that, Taron did tell us about another film he is working on, Rocketman, a film about Elton John's life, in which he plays the iconic musician.

Robin Hood is released on the 25th November in the UK.
