Sinead O'Connor reportedly receiving medical treatment after 'taking an overdose'
The star revealed she was unhappy on Facebook
Singer Sinead O' Connor is rumoured to be receiving medical treatment after she wrote that she'd taken an overdose.
The 'Nothing Compares 2 U' singer wrote a long message on Facebook.
In it she wrote "There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear... I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I'm at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name."
The message continued "I'm invisible. I don't matter a shred to anyone. No one has come near me. I've died a million times already with the pain of it. So yeah.. Strangers like me.. But my family don't value me at all."
It also said she'd been 'howling for weeks' after undergoing a hysterectomy in August.
According to the Irish Examiner police were alerted after the message and found her 'safe and well' and is receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile thousands of people have commented on the post wishing her well and urging her to keep fighting.
