She was only on the 2018 series of Love Island for a short stint, but Islander Savanna Darnell has gone and shocked fans by SHAVING her hair off, all in the name of charity! đź‘Ź
Savanna, who entered the popular reality show at the Casa Amor stage, documented the charity shave on her YouTube channel, where she expressed her nerves in the 21 minute long video.
Raising money for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, Savanna set up a Just Giving page where she aims to raise ÂŁ1,600. Documenting her decision for the shave, the 22-year-old wrote, 'I was sat down one day with my mum and I said I to her "I want to shave my hair." It got to a point where I've damaged my hair SO much throughout the years that I might as well shave it off, I was getting really down about the way my hair started to look, at the age of 21 it started to change and it was getting me down and NOTHING was helping the matter, every time I looked in the mirror it used to annoy me.
'So what better way to start a whole new fresh and do it all for charity!
'I decided Make A Wish was going to be the Charity because Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish.
'I could never ever imagine what it must be like, it seriously breaks my heart. SO here goes, I am shaving my hair off, so I would appreciate a small donation from ANYONE willing to donate. I'd appreciate it SO much.' sic
