Tabloids claim he’s getting back with the boys

Take That fans were met with some highly exciting stories on Saturday morning claiming that Robbie Williams was set to rejoin the band to mark their 25th anniversary.

Various tabloids reported that the Robster was ready to get back together with Gary, Howard and Mark – minus Jason Orange - for an upcoming tour and a new album.

Adding some weight to these claims, in June Robbie posted a picture of himself backstage at Take That’s O2 Arena gig with his former band mates.

Clearly on excellent terms with the trio, Robbie wrote: "I've just been to see the show of the year @ the O2. I love my boys. Pride, nostalgia, entertained, happy #LETMEBACKIN x"

!

However, proof that you shouldn’t always believe what you read in the press, Robbie’s representatives have sadly refused to confirm his involvement.

They told the Daily Mirror: "Robbie’s plan for 2016 is to make his next solo album. He then hopes to subsequently tour that album.

"These are his only plans in terms of recording and touring."

After quitting Take That in 1995 one year before their initial demise, Robbie rejoined the band for ‘Progress’ in 2010 and also joined them on the record breaking Progress Live Tour.

Last September Jason Orange quit Take That saying: “There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this.”

Gary, Howard and Mark wrap up their Take That Live 2015 tour with a string of European shows next month.
