Production company rush out Pointless episode so contestant could watch herself before she died
Lucy was battling breast cancer
Gameshow contestant Lucy Booth was left devastated when her episode of Pointless was delayed, fearing she would lose her battle with cancer before it aired.
However, kind hearted TV executives found out about Lucy’s battle and sent her family and friends a DVD of her appearance on the show.

Lucy’s episode was originally scheduled for TV in July, however a change-up in the schedule meant the show was delayed for a celebrity edition, leaving Lucy and her family fearing she wouldn’t make it to see it live.
It is being reported that Lucy’s close friend contacted quiz host Alexander Armstrong directly appealing for his help.
She wrote “Lucy has really not let it take over her life. Last year when she and her mum went to London to film the show they had a wonderful experience. I'm afraid that the cancer is now fighting back with extra ground troops deployed throughout Lucy's body. She is now very poorly. Please Alexander can you make some calls and have the Booth girls episode shown much sooner than that so that Lucy will be able to watch it? I beg you from the bottom of my heart, Lucy is amazing and is fighting as hard as she can but her options are dwindling fast."

After receiving the message, production company Endemol, who make the show, sent a video link to Lucy and a DVD to her family. Just two weeks before Lucy lost her battle with breast cancer, the 38-year-old watched the episode with her mum in a hospice.
Lucy sadly passed away in her hospital bed on August 9th with her mum and dad by her side.
Bosses also paid a touching tribute to Lucy as the episode aired on TV this week. After the show ended, a memory flashed up on the screen in credit to Lucy.
