Prince albums with unreleased Purple Rain material set for release in January
The double-album release will have a mixture of old classics and unheard new material.
The double album will be part of a deluxe Purple Rain reissue that Prince was working on before he died.
Warner Bros records have announced that early next year, they will be releasing a Purple Rain double album. Prince signed off the release before he died in April earlier this year.
The album includes a remastering of the singer's classic 1984 album, as well as a second album of unheard, unreleased music.
Warner Bros will also be releasing Prince 4ever on 22 November, a 40-song Greatest Hits collection from Prince's career.
This collection will include a number of Prince classics, including Soft and Wet, 1999, When Doves Cry, Nothing Compares 2 U and Diamonds and Pearls.
Prince 4ever will also feature Moonbeam Levels, a track originally recorded in 1982 for the 1999 Purple Rain album, which didn't make the final cut.
Sounds like it could make a great Christmas present...
