Perrie Edwards shares heartbreak over Jesy Nelson feud

Jesy left Little Mix in 2020

Little Mix fans were left in despair back in 2020 when Jesy Nelson made the decision to leave the band, with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock deciding to go on as a three-piece, before starting their hiatus in 2022.

Although Jesy left at the time to focus on her mental health, in years to follow her relationship with her former band mates deteriorated and now Perrie has spoken about the 'heartbreak' in their fall out.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK as she continues to embark on her solo career, 31-year-old Perrie said: "We don’t talk, and haven’t done for a long time… It’s really sad, it’s heartbreaking.

"But sometimes these things happen and people decide they want to part ways, and that’s absolutely fine. I would rather it went differently, but you can’t control how things go."

Despite no longer speaking to Jesy, Perrie is still the best of friends with both Leigh-Anne and Jade, with all three girls showing their underlying support for each other as they venture out into the world of solo music.

Whilst both Perrie and Leigh-Anne have already graced us with their solo material, Jade is gearing up to release her debut single, 'Angel Of My Dreams', with the track dropping on 19th July.

And as well as leaning on Leigh-Anne and Jade for support, it sounds like mum-of-one Perrie has also racked up a close relationship with Girls Aloud star Cheryl.

She told the publication: "I always go to Cheryl. I love her.

"My manager, who used to manage her, had a birthday party recently and I was just letting rip about things that had happened to me. And Cheryl was like, 'Yep, tell me more'. She’s just the best."

After dropping her debut solo single 'Forget About Us' back in April, Perrie quickly released her second single 'Tears' in June, with fans praising her incredible vocals on both tracks.

With the former X Factor contestant hinting recently that her third single will be a ballad, fans are now buzzing for the arrival of her debut solo album, which Perrie has teased will be out later in 2024.

Although it doesn't have a name just yet, Perrie has described her album as 'fun, energetic' and 'honest', saying: "I think I'm in a very good place for it right now. It's been an amazing process, I've met so many incredible writers, incredible producers. People I've worked with before, new people... it's just been really fun I've love it. (It's) been a very different process I would say to being in the band."
