Paris Hilton announces the surprise arrival of baby girl revealing unique name
She picked out the name 10 years ago!
Just 11 months after welcoming a baby boy via a surrogate called Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, Paris Hilton has confirmed the arrival of her second baby with husband Carter Reum, a baby girl revealing her unusual name.
The reality star took to her social channels to reveal the little girl is called London, a name she has previously revealed she chose more than 10 years ago.
On Instagram Paris wrote: 'Thankful for my baby girl🥹🩷👶🏼', posting a photo of a pink outfit with the name London written on the top, with pink heart-shaped glasses and a little knitted rabbit with pink ears and a pink frill around her neck.
The comments on Paris' post were filled with messages of congratulations, such as: 'PARIS AND LONDON. ICONS.' and 'Oh my God, Paris I know you’ve been planning on this name for years. Congratulations!!! 🥳'.
With some fans asking if the baby had already arrived, Paris confirmed on TikTok, by sharing a video where she's holding Phoenix, captioning it: 'Celebrating Phoenix the "Big Brother" on #Thanksgiving 🥰👶🏼🩵 ', in the video you can also hear a baby crying while Paris says to Phoenix: "I'm the big brother!"
Paris has previously said she chose the name London more than 10 years ago, in her book Paris: The Memoir, the 42-year-old confirmed she's keen to name her children after places across the world.
She said: "If all goes well, by the time you read this, Carter and I will have a baby boy. We plan to name him Phoenix, a name I that decided on years ago when I was searching cities, countries and states on a map, looking for something to go with Paris and London.
"Phoenix has a few good pop culture reference points, but more important it's the birth of flames out and then rises from the ashes to fly again."
Earlier this year, Paris also opened up in podcast where she revealed she had picked out the name saying: "I'm really excited for Phoenix to have a baby sister one day—named London. It's my favourite city and I've always wanted to name my daughter London.
"I had actually picked that name for a long time now, probably over 10 years. I always wanted London. I love that name for my daughter," she added.
