One Direction dedicate Billboard Music Award to Zayn Malik

Despite rumours that their split was bitter, One Direction proved they still love ex-member Zayn Malik when they dedicated their Billboard Music Award to him last night.

Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall were double winners at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas taking home the Top Duo/Group and Top Touring Artist honours.

Picking up their first gong, Niall Horan paid tribute to 1D’s loyal army off fans, saying: "This is absolutely incredible and it's an honour to be here in this category and come out as the winner.

“Thank you to our super fans, we love you so much and will see you soon."

To gargantuan cheers from the crowd, Liam Payne added: “This one’s for the fans but there’s one more person we’d like to share this with – our brother Zayn.”

Hinting that things might not have been too rosy in the 1D camp, earlier this month Louis exchanged verbal blows with Zayn and producer Naughty Boy on Twitter.

The whole sorry incident started when Zayn’s new musical collaborator Naughty Boy posted a heavily filtered image of the pair on Twitter, writing “Replace this!” Zayn then retweeted it to his 14million followers.

Clearly riled by the sight of the pair in the studio together, Louis made a less than subtle reference, asking is followers: "Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha ! Some people still do HA!"
