Just months after announcing she's left her role in BBC drama Our Girl, popular actress Michelle Keegan has teased fans by posting a photo on the set of Coronation Street, despite quitting the show six years ago.

Michelle, who played the role of Tina McIntyre between 2008-2014, posted a video of herself on her Instagram Story as she took a trip to the Cobbles, writing, 'Look where I am... Feels like yesterday I was on these cobbles'. (sic)

As Michelle walked alongside The Kabin and Dev Alahan's off licence, fans were left wondering if she's making a return to the soap which kick-started her acting career.

Of course however, Michelle's character Tina was killed off back in 2014, when she was pushed off a balcony by Rob Donovan, resulting in her dying from her injuries in June 2014, leaving fans of the soap in tears at the time.

But of course, in soap land anything can happen, and it sounds like Michelle is up for a return one day.

The 33-year-old actress has previously said, "I always say that I’d love to go back to Corrie – I was always a massive fan of Coronation Street growing up and I’ll never say never. You never know what happens in the future."

Michelle, who has starred in shows like Our Girl, Tina and Bobby and Brassic over the last few years, announced she was leaving Corrie in an emotional statement back in 2016.

She said at the time, "I have had the most amazing 6 years at Coronation Street and it was such a difficult decision to leave. But I felt it was the right time for me to make the next step in my career.

"I will miss Tina and will always be grateful to ITV and Coronation Street for giving me such an amazing role to play for my first ever acting job. Most of all I will miss the amazing people who work on the show, my acting colleagues, cast, crew, producers and writing team. I have met people who I know will be friends for life.

'I am very excited about what the coming months hold for Tina and what the future has in store for me."
