Louis Walsh reveals why he turned down I'm a Celeb
A famous face put him off
Louis Walsh has revealed he was going to appear on this year’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, until Simon Cowell talked him out of it.
The former X Factor judge said he was ‘nearly’ going to do it.
But he decided against it when Simon Cowell had a word with him.
Louis was launching Sony BRAVIA with built-in YouView in London when he said "I was supposed to be doing it. I met them three times, I was nearly going... Simon told me he didn't think it would be good for my credibility. He actually talked me out of it. Otherwise I was going to do it."
There’s still hope though as Louis says he’s still considering appearing on next year’s show.
"I might do I'm A Celebrity next year. I'm going to keep the door open. It depends who you're in with, but then they don't tell you who you're going to be in with.
"And you're in Australia for three weeks, no food, no sleep, people you don't like. I can't swim. I don't like bugs, I don't like spiders, I'd be totally out of my comfort zone. Totally!"
Though maybe it’s not too unfamiliar - as he added The X Factor is like the jungle too!
It seems like he could be popular if he took the trip Down Under...
Vicky Pattison from Geordie Shore, Made in Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews and TOWIE's Ferne McCann were the latest celebrities to enter the jungle.
