Jerry Hall and Rupert Murdoch announce their engagement
It's the first time Jerry Hall has married
Actress and model Jerry Hall has announced her engagement to business mogul Rupert Murdoch.
The couple, who have a 25 year age gap, announced their engagement in the births, deaths and marriages section of The Times newspaper, which is owned by Murdoch.
The notice reads: "Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger, are delighted to announce their engagement."
A spokesperson for the couple said: "They have loved these past months together. (They are) thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future.”
59-year-old Jerry has never married but was in a relationship with Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger for 22 years from 1977 to 1999.
They had four children together – Elizabeth Scarlett, James Leroy, Georgia May and Gabriel Luke before the marriage ended due to Jagger’s alleged infidelity.
84-year-old magnate Murdoch, 84, has been married three times and has six children. He split from his most recent wife Wendi Deng two years ago.
The News Corporation executive chairman has an estimated wealth of £8.7billion.
