Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart kiss and make up at ‘Mr Holmes’ premiere

Old pals Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart shared a kiss at the Mr Holmes movie premiere in London.
The famous pair met up for the first time since Stewart’s recent comments regarding the ‘gay cake’ debate.
Stewart was criticised for defending Belfast shop Ashers Baking Company, who lost a court case for refusing to make a cake including the words “support gay marriage” above a photo of Sesame Street pair Bert and Ernie.
However the Star Trek actor has since made his stance clear on the topic, stating that he is not “anti-equality”.
The bromance between McKellen and Stewart has played out in the media, including on their social media accounts.

McKellen is starring in Mr Holmes as a 93-year-old version of the famous sleuth, who has seen his reputation tarnished by John Watson’s written accounts of their adventures.
