The X Factor judge talks to Alex James about this year's competition and his solo career
Gary's new single Let Me Go is his first from his new solo album. He says he's a lot less nervous about this release than his work before reforming with Take That. "I just feel like if everyone hates the record I don't know if it will mean that much this time. Last time it was like the whole world.
"I've done the best I can, I can't do anything else, I like it and that's just sort of it, really."
When Alex asked why Gary doesn't sit in Simon's old chair at the top of the judge's table, the Take That front-man said, "You know what, I love sitting between the girls. Obviously if I was sat down that end I wouldn't be sat next to Sharon and I love being next to her, she tickles me all day long. I'm quite happy in that seat to be honest.
