It's great to get everyone together at Christmas and while we love seeing our parents, there are just a few niggles about being an adult back in our childhood home.

Whether it's the 'tiny' single bed that you have to squeeze into, the terrible Christmas traffic, or our social lives being taken over by our parents - you can probably relate to a number of these situations!

Check out the problems you face if you spend Christmas at your parents’ house:

1) We have to tackle the Christmas traffic, often in bad weather.

2) We have to sleep in our childhood bedroom, small bed, teenage bed clothes, surrounded by posters from when we were a kid.

3) Everyone tries to mother you, like you're a child again, but you're a grown adult!

4) Our parents take control of our social life. "So we'll see Auntie Bessie on Monday and cousin James and his family on Tuesday..."

5) We get commandeered into helping with the cooking. Dad's peeling the spuds, the other half is peeling the carrots and I'm chopping everything up.

6) We get told by our parents not to stay up too late.

7) We get quizzed about the next stage of our lives, house, marriage, kids.

But in the end, at least we are still spending time with our loved ones! ❤️
