Who we help - Freya

This beautiful little lady is Freya, 11 years old and lives with severe Cerebral Palsy as well as a range of other health conditions requiring 1:1 nursing care 24 hours of the day.

At our first grant round of the year, we took this application forward to our board and of course this was a no brainer and thanks to our amazing supporters we were able to grant the life changing support required.

Freya’s mum had made an application for a princess bed, this is a medical grade bed and named aptly for this little princess. The bed allows Freya to be moved with ease as it turns Freya other than having to be moved by hand and all whilst being more comfortable than she has ever been. Not only does this bed mean comfort, it means safety as well as the potential to improve Freya’s statistics. Which we are delighted to say have improved, as quickly as the same night Freya slept in the new bed. Both Freya’s heart rate and saturation stats are improved, her family are at ease and their lives are changed.
