Jamie is 7 years old and Jamie’s parents had applied to us for funding towards a wet room to enable Jamie to use a shower trolley.

Jamie has congenital condition called Lissencephaly which is a rare brain formation disorder caused by defective neuronal migration during the 12th- 24th weeks of gestation. Jamie is fully dependant on adults to help him engage in all personal and social activities of daily living. The installation of the wet shower room will make personal hygiene a much easier process for Jamie.

The total cost for the wet room was £8458.80 and the local authority paid a grant of £6437.04 and Cash for Kids were delighted to make up the shortfall of £2021.76 to make Jamie’s life that bit easier.
