Police investigating death of man in Edinburgh city centre

Police are investigating the death of a man found injured in Edinburgh city centre.

Emergency services were called to Fettes Row at 10:15am this morning, where they found a 56-year-old man injured behind buildings.

Paramedics treated him but he was pronounced dead at the scene this afternoon.

Police Scotland say enquiries are currently ongoing, but the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
