Police have appealed for information to help trace a keen hill walker missing for more than two weeks.

Robin Millar, 44, was last seen driving his van near Kincardine, Fife, on Friday February 5.

He has not been in contact with friends or family since then and concern is growing for his welfare, police said.

Mr Millar, from Newmills, is an enthusiastic hill walker and police believe he may have been in the Oban and Mull areas between February 12 and 19. Members of the public are asked to come forward if they can help officers locate the missing man.

Mr Millar is described as being white, 5ft 9ins tall with a slim build, shaved head, large ginger and white beard and wears glasses.

His white Fiat Doblo van has the registration number SC51 LWX.

Sergeant Tony Rogers, from Dunfermline police station, said: At this time we are focussing our inquiries on the Oban and Mull area as well as the wider Argyll and Bute region and we are keen to hear from anyone who believes they have seen Robin in the past week. Once again, we would also ask Robin to make contact with family, friends, or with police to let us know he is safe.''
